I started hitting the gym when I got to the age of 30 after not wanting to be unfit as I went into my 30’s .
I became your average gym newbie hitting cardio hard with some weight training at the end, great for the cardiovascular system not so great for muscle gains I was stuck in a rut not gaining muscle and not seeing the results I truly wanted, I was still (skinny fat) with no knowledge or direction on how to eat correctly.
After chatting with Thomas Hicks about nutrition and how it effects how the body performs during exercise. We worked together on a Hicksnutrition diet and training plan in July 2013 and saw great results in my energy, fitness and muscle development that eclipsed my previous “newbie” gains. Thanks to Tom’s constant help and feedback and diet adjustments we saw my weight increase from 12.5st to 14st being a hard gainer that was quite an achievement. The gains in muscle we saw through Tom’s advice and support I decided to decided to take part in my first natural bodybuilding competition in July 2014 the goal was set. So after tweaks to my diet and training regime over a 6 month period I entered the competition and placed 4th out of 9 competitors. Without Tom from Hicksnutrition’s constant support, help and feedback I would never of been able to take part.
I still live by the nutritional advice learned during that period and have since increased my weight to 15st which have been lean gains. I train safe in the knowledge that Tom from Hicksnutrition is only a phone call or message away for the next time I reach that plateau I cant overcome.
